The Traveller part 2

The streets were dim lit only by the dim flickering glow of torches, the windows shuttered and dark the few stores still open were quiet, the traveller payed no mind sitting easily upon the roan as the hoofbeats echoed gentley from the buildings.

The few people out at this hour moved quickly there heads kept down moving aside as the traveller and the roan passed, so the figure standing at the junction of two cross streets stood out, his heavily muscled bare arms crossed the plain silver cuffs barely reflecting the flickering torchlight from across the street, his black jerkin and leather pants absorbing the light his grey flecked black hair and heavy beard glistened in the damp.
The traveller brought the horse to a stop beside the figure and raised his gloved hand in salute, the bearded man stood up straight and raised his own hand matching the travellers salute then as he lowered his hand his serious expression broke and a grin spread itself across his face "Long time to be away my Lord, it's good to see you again, I secured rooms at The Black Dragon, figured you would need a rest after your long journey"
The Traveller pushed back his hood his craggy face split with a smile, the warmth of his smile thawing his normally icy blue eyes
"Good to see you too Kurik, sorry to drag you out in this weather, lets be moving to the Inn get out this damn drizzle"
